Clear scope.

• Mobile-friendly layouts, basic SEO setup, and a contact form.
• Placement of your supplied text, logos, photographs, and artwork.
• Design review and reasonable refinements before launch. New content beyond the agreed scope, new features, or a substantial change in design direction may require a separate quote.
• Launch assistance and 30 days of fixes for issues with our original work.

We agree on the content, features, and total price before starting. Payment is 50% upfront and 50% before delivery ($199.50 each at the standard price). New content or requested changes after launch fall under our update rates.

Clients supply artwork they have permission to use. Custom artwork and logo creation are not included. Domain registration, hosting, and paid third-party services are separate costs.

Porkbun is our preferred hosting provider for its affordability and value. We’re also happy to work with other hosting providers upon request, provided their hosting supports your website’s requirements. View Porkbun’s current hosting options and pricing.

Domain registration, hosting, and any paid third-party services or assets are separate from our service fees. Any additional purchases require your approval.

A professional website shouldn’t require a pile of monthly subscriptions. Whenever possible, we recommend reliable, inexpensive services that do the job without adding unnecessary recurring costs.

Porkbun — our preferred option for domain registration and static website hosting.

Fourthwall — a practical option for online stores, merchandise, print-on-demand products, and creator sales.

Kit — an email newsletter and mailing-list platform that can be connected to your website.

BlogHandy — a lightweight blogging service that gives you a simple browser-based editor for writing and publishing posts while keeping the blog integrated with your existing website. Available plan limits and pricing are reviewed with you before setup.

These are recommendations, not requirements. If you already use another compatible service, we can often work with what you have. Our goal is the simplest setup that meets your needs without locking you into unnecessary paid tools.

Behind your website

How we build
and publish.

Our showcase websites are built with HTML for page structure, CSS for layout and styling, and JavaScript where interactive features are needed. These are static websites: a collection of ready-to-display pages and supporting files, without a database or content management system required for the core site.

We develop and preview your website locally, away from your live site. Once you approve it, we package the HTML, stylesheets, scripts, images, and other assets and upload them to your web hosting provider—the service that makes your website available online. Compatible hosts may accept a ZIP upload or another file-transfer method.

You receive a copy of the completed site files, and your domain and hosting remain in your name. Future changes are made to the source files and uploaded to the host. A browser-based page editor is not included; we can handle updates for you, or another developer can work with the supplied files.

A standard contact form is included using a compatible form service. Online payments and other additional integrations require an agreed scope and cost; post-launch work follows the update rates below. Any required third-party charges are discussed before you commit.

Website Care

$9.99 / month

Website Care is available exclusively for websites built by Insidious Creative. Your subscription signup link will be provided directly after your website purchase.

Keep your website current with up to 30 minutes of website updates each month, as needed. Add a new book or release, update your bio, replace images, change purchase links, or refresh your content. Simply send us your requested changes and any finished text, images, and links we’ll need.

Need more time? Subscribers receive a discounted rate of $10 per additional 15 minutes—equivalent to $40/hour. This rate also applies to new pages, redesigns, and other website work within the services we offer. For larger requests, we’ll estimate the time and obtain your approval before starting. We’ll also check with you before exceeding an approved estimate.

Included time resets each monthly billing period. Unused time does not roll over.

Updates without a subscription

Prefer to request help as needed? Website work is available for $60/hour, with a $30 minimum, then billed in 15-minute increments.

Your account, your control

Website access
and billing.

You retain ownership and control of your domain and hosting account. For Porkbun clients, our preferred access method is Authorized User access. With other providers, we use delegated access where available.

You’re responsible for maintaining the access we need to work on your website. If passwords, permissions, or security settings change, please promptly restore our access or provide updated access information.

Unavailable access may delay work, but it does not pause billing or extend your monthly update allowance. To stop future subscription charges, you must cancel your subscription. Removing our access does not cancel your subscription.

After launch

Your Website
Owner Handoff.

When your website is completed, you’ll receive an Insidious Creative Website Owner Handoff containing the information you need to manage your online presence.

It may include direct links to your domain provider, hosting account, website store, mailing-list provider, blog, other connected services, and Insidious Creative support.

For security, passwords are never included in your handoff document.
